Waste Stabilization

CE offers services in the determination of waste stabilization requirements to enable handling and managing waste materials, conversion of hazardous waste to non-hazardous waste, and non-hazardous wastes into potentially useful products. Professional services include:

CE has experience in stabilizing waste materials from a wide range of industrial sources including municipal waste fly ash, tire-burning combustor ash, petroleum-contaminated soils, synthetic fuel residues, oil-fired power plant ash, industrial baghouse dusts, and contaminated dredge sediments.

CE staff is experienced in handling, transporting, and physically and chemically stabilizing waste products for pollution control utilizing hydratable reactants (such as Portland cement, cement kiln dust, lime kiln dust, coal fly ash, etc.) for physical stabilization and chemical reactants for chemical fixation (leachate contamination control).
