CHESNER ENGINEERING, P.C. (CE) offers unique services to public and private sector clients that are not readily available in traditional engineering firms. Such services include the development of new methods and solutions in environmental, energy and transportation technologies that will assist in developing new business opportunities and the application of sustainable solutions. This is accomplished through contract public sector and private sector research program development, management and implementation.

CONTRACT PUBLIC SECTOR RESEARCH

Working with Federal, State and local public sector clients, under contract research, Chesner Engineering, P.C. applies its extensive experience and technical skills to solving environmental, energy and transportation problems and decisions facing the public sector. As an example in the Environmental Sector, CE has undertaken funded research on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. In the Energy Sector, CE has undertaken research for the U.S. Department of Energy and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. In the Transportation Sector, CE has conducted research for the Transportation Research Board (National Academy of Sciences), the Federal Highway Administration (U.S. Department of Transportation), the New York State Department of Transportation, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

CONTRACT PRIVATE SECTOR RESEARCH

CE assists private sector clients in the development and commercialization of new systems, equipment and management strategies to address potential business opportunities in the Environmental, Energy and Transportation Sectors. The CE approach to applied private sector research and development is to work closely with industrial-client partners to develop and apply new proprietary systems that can be introduced into the marketplace. CE has the expertise to plan, implement and manage bench scale process, scaled-up process development units and field demonstrations of new systems. Where applicable, CE will assist clients in obtaining third party public and private sector funding to support the necessary research, development and commercilization efforts.
